Kingsford Apartment Sells $130,000 Above Reserve in Competitive Auction Setting.

In the presence of some of the most horrific weather conditions seen for Saturday’s Auction markets, Sales Executive Josh Ellison & Director Raylean Ellison secured a strong sales result at 3/56 Wallace Street, Kingsford selling $130,000 over reserve under the hammer.  

The apartment was an updated two-bedroom apartment in a boutique art deco block of four. It presented two large bedrooms, open plan living/dining, updated kitchen, and bathroom with an additional exclusive use outdoor grassed area.

Lead agent Josh Ellison explained that the apartment had strong interest from the first open home, issuing a total of 19 contracts to which led him to bring the auction forward one week. On auction day, the apartment had a total of 9 registered parties, with 7 actively bidding on the floor. “The bidding opened at $900,000, and within less than a few minutes the property was selling at $1,080,000” Ellison explained.

Wallace Street was one of the 593 successful auction results across Sydney on Saturday March 20 presenting a clearance rate of 91% according to Domain.com.au.
